Refund Policy - Lawmadi OS

Scope

This Refund Policy applies to the purchase and refund of credit products sold by Lawmadi OS (hereinafter referred to as the "Service"). Credits are used exclusively for the AI Legal Information Service. The Attorney Search Service (coming soon) is not subject to credit payment or refunds.

Credits are a prepaid payment method used for AI legal Q&A within the Service.
1 credit per standard query, 2 credits per expert answer
1:1 Leader Chat: 5 free per account on login, then 2 credits per 5 messages
Payments are processed through Paddle (payment processor), which acts as the Merchant of Record and manages taxes and payments.

Credit Products

The Service offers the following credit products. Credits are used for AI legal information queries and 1:1 Leader Chat.

Starter - 20 credits / $2.69 USD
Standard - 100 credits / $7.49 USD (43% off vs Starter)
Pro - 300 credits / $18.99 USD (53% off vs Starter)

Credits never expire and are permanently added to your account.

Refund Conditions

Refunds for credit purchases are processed according to the following conditions:

Full refund: Within 7 days of purchase, if none of the purchased credits have been used
Partial refund: Within 7 days of purchase, if some credits have been used, the amount corresponding to unused credits will be refunded. The refund amount is calculated by pro-rata based on the per-credit purchase price.
No refund: After 7 days from the date of purchase

Partial refund example: Standard 100 credits ($7.49) purchased, 30 credits used → Unused 70 credits × $0.075 (purchase unit price) = $5.25 refund

The 3 free credits granted once on login are not eligible for refund.

Credits are digital content. Once used (response generated), withdrawal rights for those credits are limited per Korean E-Commerce Act Article 17(2)(5).

Refund Process

Please submit all refund requests via the email below. Requesting directly through Paddle may result in processing delays.

Send a refund request to admin@lawmadi.com.
Please include the email address used for purchase and the date of payment.
Refund requests will be reviewed and processed within 3 business days of receipt.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method through Paddle.

This opens a pre-filled refund request email addressed to admin@lawmadi.com.

Refund Exclusions

Even if the refund conditions in Article 3 are met, refunds are restricted in the following cases:

If usage has been restricted due to violation of the Terms of Service
If credits were obtained or used through fraudulent means
If credits were transferred to or traded with another person
If all purchased credits have been used

Service Failure Compensation

If credits were consumed due to a service failure but a proper response was not received, the credits will be restored.

Credits are automatically restored when no response is generated due to a system error.
If automatic restoration does not occur, please contact us by email and we will restore credits after verification.

We continuously monitor service failure cases to improve service quality.
